Hot running dryer and Hot clothes
One of the great things about dryers, especially the new dryers that are coming out these days are the functions. There are so many different functions and setting to chose from. You can set your dryer on a low tumble dry or set it for a high heat. Now even if your dryer is on a high heat your dryer itself should not get hot or overheat. Your high temp dryer setting should also not get hot enough to the point where your clothes are literally hot to the touch. Your clothes overheating and your dryer overheating or even running hotter than normal is a huge red flag
that there is something wrong. That something is low air flow caused buy your dryer vent being blocked and your dryer being clogged up with lint.
We all know when we leave our load of laundry in the washer for some time after it is done being washed it can create a moldy or mildew smell. This can also happen in the dryer when your clothes were not completely dried and they sat for a while in the dryer. Excess pet hair on clothing
For those of you that have pets you know how frustrating it can be to have pet hair on your clothes. If your washer and dryer are working properly they should be able to remove almost all of the pet hair. A majority of the pet hair gets removed in the washer along with dirt and stains.
There is also a lot of pet hair that will stick in with your fabric and be removed with the lent. A big sign that something is wrong with the air flow is there is pet hair being left on the clothes. If the vent is blocked up the dryer may also accumulate pet hair the way it does lent. When it
does this you will get hair on your clothes from the dryer that did not have hair on them before they entered the dryer. This is a sign of a major clog in your dryer and in your dryer vent.
